What we collect
When you use FindMySeason, you upload a photo of yourself. That photo is sent directly to Anthropic's API (the AI service we use) to perform color analysis. We do not store your photo. Once the analysis is complete, the photo is discarded.
We store the results of your analysis — your color season, palette, and style notes — in our database, linked to a random ID in your URL. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information unless you choose to provide it.
We also collect your IP address for rate limiting purposes (to prevent abuse). IP addresses are not linked to analysis results and are purged automatically after 7 days.
How your photo is used
Your photo is transmitted over an encrypted connection to Anthropic's API solely to determine your seasonal color type. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. By uploading a photo you consent to this processing.
Your photo is never sold, shared with third parties for marketing purposes, or used to train AI models by us.
Biometric data notice
Color analysis involves processing visual characteristics from your photo, which may be considered biometric information in some jurisdictions (including Illinois, Texas, and the EU). By uploading your photo, you explicitly consent to this processing for the sole purpose of providing you with a color analysis result.
If you are located in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any data we hold about you. Contact us at the address below.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Affiliate links
Some product recommendations on your results page are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which products we recommend — they are generated based on your color season.
Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. We may use a session cookie to maintain your analysis result between page loads.
Data retention
Your analysis results are stored indefinitely so that your result URL continues to work. If you want your data deleted, email us and we will remove it within 30 days.
